Opened in July of 1995, the Ronald McDonald House has 18 bedrooms and has served more than 7,700 families. The House's inviting decor is based on the children's book, The Secret Garden, with several secret places to be enjoyed by all. 

The House is situated on 2.5 acres with plenty of complimentary parking, and is part of the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital complex.
