The Houses:
In the Chicagoland area, we are fortunate to have three Houses.
Our Ronald McDonald Houses provide a “home away from home” for families of children receiving medical treatment at nearby hospitals. Each House is unique in its design, but all provide comfortable, supportive lodging for these families during their time of need. It serves as a temporary residence near the medical facility where family members can sleep in their own room, eat, relax and find support from other families in similar situations. In return, families are asked to make a donation of five dollars a day; however if that is not possible, we will work with each family on an individual basis to accommodate their needs.
These truly are Ronald McDonald Houses “that love built." They continue to flourish because of the nurturing compassion of our staff and volunteers and the generosity of our donors.
If you are interested in staying at one of our Houses, please click below on the link to your preferred House for additional contact information.
If you are interested in learning more about a House and specific volunteer opportunities, please call the House during normal business hours and ask for the Volunteer Coordinator – we would be happy to talk about all the possibilities!
