Three years ago on July 18 2008, my baby girl (Anaya) was born very prematurely at only 22 weeks gestation.  I was advised that I shouldn’t get my hopes up that she would probably only live for three days.  A week after her birth, she was rushed to Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago in critical condition.  Again I was advised that she would probably not make the trip or even last through the night.  I lived in Merrillville, IN at the time and the thought of traveling back and forth to visit my baby was not an option.  I needed to be close to her just so I could be there if and when that time would come.  Ronald McDonald House of Chicago of Lincoln Park location was able to provide a room for me which I needed for 3 weeks until that unfortunate day came; my precious baby girl – Anaya died.  I want to thank the Ronald McDonald House of Chicago of Lincoln Park for being there when I needed them!
